"The Kundalini"

In 1980 when I was a senior in college. I had an unusual experience which
I believe is related to Kundalini.
It all started with a hard day of exercise. I usually run 6 miles a day, but on this day I also went for a 15 mile bike ride and played racquetball. Although I didn't injure myself I do recall my hips hitting the racquetball court walls hard on one occasion. That evening I began to experience severe pain at the location of the first chakra. I went to the emergency room 2 times that weekend the pain was so bad but no cause could be found. To make a long story short this pain lasted for about 1 year. During this time I went to a number of specialist including a urologist and gastrointestinal specialist. I had a barium x-ray of the colon performed etc...as I was convinced something was really wrong. The doctors could never find a answer to my symptoms. Now heres where it gets interesting. During this year of pain (which I can only describe as feeling like a baseball had been shoved about 8 inches up my rectum) I had the same dream night after night. I either dreamed of tornadoes or snakes. The tornadoes would be white or black and sometimes a hand would form out of the tornado and try to grab me. The snakes often had bodies that looked like spinal vertebra covered with skin. The feeling-tone was always one of fascination yet fear. Finally I had a very intense dream, after which my physical symptoms disappeared. In this "dream" I found myself in a ancient stone temple in India. There were cobra's all over the floor ready to strike. I thought 'how am I going to walk through here?'. At that moment I saw Yoganada. He walked across the room and stood right in front of me and said/mind-thought "i'll show you how it's done". He then reached down and picked up a cobra and held it up with both hands just in front of my face. Holding the snake horizontally he began to rub the snake from the center out making the snake rigid. I then woke. The
interpretation is obvious. Three years later I had a sudden rising of
the kundalini. It was a ordinary day, in my apartment. I sat down on the
corner of the bed and suddenly felt a strong electrical current shoot up
my spine. I immediately went above my body and could hear a deafening
roaring sound. It was all rather frightening. I was looking down at
myself in this deafening roar. I began to scream for my wife to come
help me (she was in the next room). In short order I was back in my
body. She did'nt hear a sound in our quiet apartment. This happened
again about 3 mos later although to a less degree. This represents the
list of my peak kundalini experiences.
