The "Ghost" of a Living
1999, by John B.
I attended a lecture on Eckankar many years ago while in the Air Force. I asked the speaker a few questions about my own experiences with OOBE phenomena. There was a man present that stood off to the side, who was dressed in a Pilots flight suit. He said nothing but listened very intently to my conversation with the speaker. The next day I returned form work at about 3:45 pm. I entered my room and sat at a desk. Within five minutes, I felt an urge to look to my right. I then clearly saw the same man I had seen at the Eckancar lecture. He was about six feet from me at a level 2/3rds from the ceiling, and was visible from about mid upper body up. His appearance was transparent, but his features were very clear and distinct. He was looking intently at me, but in a rather disjointed fashion. He appeared to be looking about me but without making eye contact. It was if he was not aware I was seeing him, although I was looking in his direction. I was sure that he was scanning my energy field. This unsettled me, but did not rattle me. I rose from the chair at which time he faded from view. I have never before, or since witnessed an "apparition". The uniqueness of this was that he was alive and well paying me a visit in the OOBE state.
Have you ever had this experience? What do you think of this? Should this be considered an intrusion? I think he may have been curious and looking for a manifestation in my energy field that that may be unique to those who have experienced the phenomena. Unique in that once you have experienced OOBE the door is forever opened for repeated exits. This was my thought at the time.
No I had no experience like this, but perhaps similar ones (with no shaped body manifestation). May be he was in the state of clairvoyance, in which he tried a remote feeling. In this case there may have been an involuntary manifestation of himself. If he had been in this state he certainly had no sight. Your sight of him had vanished because you have been moving, for which reason you lost your state of inner perception (mostly in this state the EEG of such persons shows theta waves, which change immedeately into beta- or alpha waves when moving).
Another intrusive episode occurred years later when I was experimenting using a side roll out method. I had rolled out 2-3 times when I noticed four entities observing me from a distance of four feet. They appeared as men with a similar appearance. They each had black, neatly trimmed close cropped beards. They all had the same style suit which was black of a late 1800's character. Their ties were a lace type. Their shirts had ruffles on the the upper chest. They were standing side by side positioned half way through the floor, at the point from their lower sleeve cuffs up (the room was upstairs).
